Holiday Makeup

It's finally here my holiday is tomorrow! A long 4 hr car journey to Glasgow Airport followed by a 4hr 30 minute flight to Bodrum, Turkey! Anyway lets get on with todays post, which is my holiday makeup. As you may or may not know Turkey is a boiling country and this makeup that I'm taking won't be worn during the daytime.

Obviously I will have my Clinique 3 Step items with me but, we shall start off with my foundation as I don't like the look of liquid foundation on my skin. So I use Clinique's Superpowder Double Face Powder in Matte Ivory. It's a bit pricey but it has lasted a long time.

I also have the Airbrush Concealer to hide dark circles and blemishes, also if I do have a blemish I use Blemish Solutions Gel. I love both of these products!

For my brows I'm just going to use this old technic brow kit, I normally use the one in the middle.

This is the first time I'm going to be trying the Dream Weave Mascara so I'll let you know what they are like. I will also be bringing with me my

Finally Lipstick and Lipgloss, basically as I did was pick some random colours that are bright and perfect for holidays!

Thanks for reading!

Love

Liebster Awards : Discover New Blogs

Hi Lovelies!

So, as you can see by the title today we are going to be talking about the Liebster Award, I have been kindly nominated by Cecil from Wednesday 19th which was amazing and I wasn't expecting it so thank you!

Here are the rules:

·         You must answer all questions that are given to you.
·         Must link back to the person that nominated you.
·         Nominate 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
·         Provide nominees with 11 questions of your choice.
·         Cannot nominate the person who nominated you.
·         Must inform nominees of your nomination.
·         Provide nominees with a link to your post for more info.

My Questions from Cecil are:

1.    Why do you think people read your blog?

To be honest I don't really know, maybe they just want some inspiration to their style/beauty or for their own blog that they are producing.

2.    What’s your favourite Disney movie?

I have many favourite Disney films, I love Frozen and I used to love High School Musical (when I was younger!)

3.    How do you see your blog in 5 years-time?

Hopefully it can be a thing a do long side university, giving me experience towards my future.

4.    Do you have any advice for bloggers who have just started?

Keep going on don't give up, I see too many people give up after 2 weeks because they are not a super successful blogger. It all takes time, promote yourself on instagram, twitter and Facebook it all helps!
5.    Where do you write your blogposts (home, café…)?

Just at home on my sofa or on my bed.

6.    What would you be doing right now if you hadn’t a blog?

Nothing really, it gives me something to do in my spare time and an extra excuse to shop!

7.    Favorite season of the year:

Summer of course, holidays and hot weather!

8.    When did you start blogging?

May 2014

9.    How do you cope with negative comments/opinions about your blog?

It goes over the top of my head, I've achieved something, they probably haven't so yeah. Be the bigger person, they are just jealous!

10. Favorite quote:

''The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.''

11. Who’s that person that you couldn’t live without?

My Mum, she's just amazing! (love you!)

Kimono Loving!

Hi Lovelies,

It's just under 2 weeks until I got to Turkey and see my other blogging half Wonder of Freedom! (she left on Monday). A Kimono is an item that I'm defiantly taking on holiday with me as they are perfect with a pair of shorts or as a bikini cover-up. Me and Kirsty both have this Kimono and only just realised one day when we had met up.

A beautiful sunny day in July means I have to have a pair of sunglasses on my head or over my eyes! Mine are from the kids collection of Ray Ban's for £100, I did buy theses four years ago so they won't be available to purchase.(sorry!)

My frosted Sekonda watch bought by my grandparents 6 years ago (I need a new one) I would love a Mini Michael Kors!

Outfit Details

Kimono: Primark
Jeans: M&S
Shoes: Primark
Cami: Primark
Sunglasses: Ray Ban

I absolutely love this Kimono the tassels and the print is so elegant and perfect for a Summers day!

Thanks for Reading Lovelies!

Make-Up Routine!

Hello Lovelies!

Welcome to today's post! As you can see my photos are a little different today as I have used my MacBook's Camera with the effect ''Plastic Camera''. Anyway enough of me blabbering on about the photos, lets talk about what todays post is actually about. So I am going to show you my basic make-up that I apply when I'm off school. It's also the Summer Holidays which means I can wear make-up pretty much every day.

Any lets get started on this tutorial.

Okay so I first start off by removing any eye make-up that I forgotten to take off the night before (oops!) I use Clinique's Take The Day Off for Lips and Eyes*. I love this as in one swipe its all off!

I then use toner to get rid of any dirt that has clogged up my pores, swiping on my face, neck and behind my ears. I get Clinique's Clarifying Lotion in a 2 ( for oily to dry skin )

My Go-To moisturiser is Dramatically Different from Clinique. I suffer from sensitive skin which has been a battle since I was young, over the years I've tried so many creams and they work for a while then my skin gets used to it and wants something stronger. I found that Clinique's is amazing at £27 per bottle it's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I only use a pump if this each day and this does me perfect for the duration of the day!

Eye Cream is a must have in my make-up bag as I suffer from puffy and dark circles under my eyes. A quick blob under each eye makes me look more awake. Teen Vogue recommend the All About Eyes from Clinique.

Next I always apply concealer to my skin as I feel that I can hide my dark circles and blemishes, again this is by Clinique and its called ''Airbrush Concealer'' at £18 it's quite pricey! I get this in Shade 04 Neutral Fair.

I really don't like using liquid foundation as I find it's not as natural and it can make your skin look shiny. So I prefer to use a power foundation as it hides any oil that may be on my skin, this foundation is from Clinique as I have sensitive skin. This is the lightest shade! £23

Afterwards I just put some brow gel on just to set them!

I then pick whatever eyeshadow I fancy that particular day, today's choice was L'Oréal Paris' Chrome Shine in the shade ''Brown Silver''*

Lipgloss is applied my favourite is a Barry M lipgloss in the shade Bubblegum! (Free with a can of Impulse)

All Done!

Thanks for Reading todays post lovelies!

See you next time

What Shoes am I Taking on Holiday?

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome to todays post on shoes! We all love shoes and I'm going to share with you which ones that I'm going to take to Turkey - which I'm going for 2 weeks this Summer!
I think it's important to have some good shoes on holiday as you need to be comfortable to be able to relax.

I am takin 8 pairs with me, I know seems a lot but I'm taking them for different reasons.

This first pair I'm going to travel in as they are going to match my outfit, these shoes are from Primark - £4

I was wanting a pair of Espadrilles and didn't really like the straw sort of bases so I found theses ROXY ones in TkMaxx last year, they have a flip-flop bottom and the cotton is very light, perfect for warm weather. I can't remember the price but about £10 I think

This is the only pair of sandals that have lasted since last year, as I've grown out of a few pairs. These are just very basic perfect for plain outfits. Primark (2013) - £4

These slip ons are so easy to wear as I can style most outfits with theses perfect! Primark -  £4

This season pool sliders are in so I went and bought myself a pair of basic gold ones. I used to hate these when I was little thinking that they were clumpy and awful, I love them now! I bought these from TkMaxx - £7.

I now own 3 pairs of Converse which I love! So the other week the Office sale was on. Well when sales are on I had to get them at £35.

All of the shoes that I'm taking are flats but I need some heels/wedges, I purchased this pair in New Look's Sale last year for £15, perfect to dress items up.

My last pair are some Havaianas that I picked up this weekend in TkMaxx for £10 which was a bargain compared to the £25 price tag, perfect for the beach!

So thats all, you now know that I love TkMaxx for shoes!

Thanks for Reading Lovelies

I've Been Drinking Watermelon

Hello Lovelies!

One of SS14 trends is a watermelon print!
It's so bright and fruity making you look even more tropical than you really are. We start off with some cute realistic looking shorts from American Apparel. It's a little bit pricey at £54 but I'm sure that they are a good quality pair of shorts. If you just want a small amount of fruit, a phone case if for you. I love this and think its really pretty to add to an outfit! A clutch is all you need for a variety of outfits. Available in orange and lemon! H&M's bag is perfect for the beach!

Hope you like todays post.
