August Adventures

It may be October very soon but, I am going to share with you (my lovely readers) my ''August Adventures!!" I was so fortunate to go on holiday to Turkey for 2 weeks with my lovely mum and dad! We also spent a lot of this time with Kirsty (Wonder of Freedom) and her mum Diane. On each picture I will give you a brief description on what it's about and just generally why I took it! (Most of them should be in chronological order.

Picture 1 - As you can see it's an aeroplane wing (who doesn't take it as there first holiday photo!) We flew with Jet2 Holidays from Glasgow to Bodrum. The flight took about 4 hours so it wasn't that long. Lets just say headphones kept me occupied.

Picture 2 - A lovely selfie! This is one of my favourite holiday photos as we are all in it. That night I decided to have my hair in plaits for a change, I loved them!

Picture 3 - The night this photo was taken we went to the most wonderful place ever, I believe it was called Mavisehir. As the sun goes down behind Kos (it's amazing how you can see it from Turkey!) you can hold it!

Picture 4 - I must admit I'm not a particularly big fan of the sea, as there is many things you cant see the things at the bottom. However we ventured to a beach called Yeshilkent, it was so pretty and warm. I look so pale compared to Kirsty!!

Picture 5 & 6 - An ice cold milkshake is perfect in the heat that we had out there! I love chocolate, I only got two out in Turkey. The one shown in the picture and a Burger King milkshake. Both were delicious. I also attempted to curl my hair that night which didn't really work! We also had a picture on a quad bike, so yeah.

Picture 7 & 8 - Oh the saddest time of the holiday! Going home we even had an airport selfie, which you can't beat having one. Also in the airport was a Victoria's Secret and well I had to buy something! Which was Tease by Victoria's Secret (post here)

I hope you enjoyed reading todays post!

Supermarket Style A/W Picks

We all do it, get distracted while food shopping! I always end up in the clothing area of the supermarket, I love it as you can grab a bargain too!
Below you will be able to see my A/W picks from the various supermarkets.

To start off, this brand is probably the one that I mainly buy items from out of the supermarkets. This brand is F&F at Tesco. F&F tend to know how to get trends right so it's a perfect place to shop for items! As you may or may not know I love skinny jeans, they're probably one of my most worn items, you can't go wrong with them! However acid wash may seem to be a trend from a few years ago but I love the way the pattern is on these! As they aren't to harsh and it also has a gradient. Perfect to dress up or wear just as a casual pair of jeans with a snuggly jumper.

Cream is a really elegant colour, I love how it pairs with rose gold too. As Winter is approaching we need some light items just to brighten us on on those 'warmer' Winter days. I love this cream leather jacket! It would perfectly pair with a pair of skinny jeans. Tu is from Sainsbury's!

I love dresses but when it come to Winter I find it very hard to wear a dress that keeps me warm and toasty. This dress is perfectly on trend just because of it colour, burgundy or cranberry is in this A/W and I love it. It pairs perfectly with brown or black making it so much easier to accessorise this dress and turn it into an outfit.

So that's three of my favourite items from three different supermarkets! Let me know which supermarket you end up looking at clothes in the comments below.
Thanks for Reading!

''Beautiful Little Fools" An Interview with the owner Melissa

Hello Lovelies!

In todays post I had the privilege of interviewing Melissa from 'Beautiful Little Fools'. You can 20% off your order (first only)  when you use the code '14' !!

Heres mine and Melissa's interview:

1. What inspired you to set up 'Beautiful Little Fools'?
I have previously bought and sold vintage clothes to sell on ASOSMarketplace but ASOS stopped the segment of sellers I was classified under. In exchange of upgrading to a boutique I decided to further my brand into modern fashions. Thus Beautiful little fools came about.

2. Do you think your own personal style reflects on what you sell?
I wouldn't sell anything I wouldn't wear myself. My style, although diverse is embedded in the clothes I sell. My target market is very similar to myself, young, student and cash concious. I've developed the brand, styles and pricing around my market.

3. Where do you see yourself and the store in 5 years time?
I intend for the store to be my career. I have always wanted to work for myself so this move is the groundings of my career. It's taken  countless long nights and cups of coffee to get where I am today, but the outcome is more than worth the effort.

4. If you could work with one celebrity to produce a collection for 'Beautiful Little Fools who would it be and why?
I'm a little bit spoilt for choice. I don't exactly idolise celebrities, I prefer to focus my time with real people I meet. However I have always been aware of the bold prints and edgy shapes Fearne Cotton and Alexa Chung embrace, so I think I'd have to choose one of those.

5. Finally, do you love owning your own business and being your own boss. Is it better than a day job?
I wish I could find a stronger word for love when answering this question. This site is not just the start of my career but it entails my entire work ethic. Although I've met some amazing people working day jobs, I have always been an independent worker and idolised fashion. The store combines my two strengths, and I don't feel like i'm working when I'm developing it. It's what I've longed for, and I've achieved my goal.

I hope you have enjoyed todays post!

Porcelaine Cleansing Bar from Aqua Aria

AQUA AIRA have been so lovely to gift me with a 'Porcelaine Cleansing Bar'* that they specialise in, AQUA AIRA have researched into a one step solution for skin cleansing. AQUA ARIA’s skincare is formulated without the use of parabens, synthetics. It is also fragrance-free and non-hypoallergenic. Their product can be used for any part of the skin to help soothe skin problems such as eczema, minor skin irritations, acne, and it is gentle enough to be used on babies.

The Ingredients in this bar are:

1. Bentonite: The key ingredient in “The Soap”. Made of natural ceramics with negative electric charges which provides anti-aging functions.

2. Sekken Soji: Known in Japan as a cleansing ingredient

3. Squalene: Natural moisturizing factor.

4. Glycerin: Solvent, emulsifier, humectant that attracts moisture to your skin.

I've tried this product on my face and it's amazing. My skin felt so smooth and squeaky clean after using this product, I feel like it's going to last me for a few months! The retail price is $68 which is around about £42. It's available here on the AQUA ARIA online store.

Thanks for reading todays post!

Oh My Love Sale Picks

As Summer fades into the distance, the after Summer sales start. Oh My Love is on point this year! In this post I'm going to share with you some of my favourite items that I'm going to convince my mum to buy (with my money!)

I'm absolutely in love with this dress, it just screams SUMMER! at me. The floral print is so elegant and beautiful, making a girl look flattering. Next year I'm hopefully going to Turkey for 3 weeks so this will look perfect with a tan. A must buy for me, pair with some chunky wedges and some gold jewellery.

I always love a maxi dress as it's perfect for the start of your holiday when you have pale legs. You will be able to hide them and still look gorgeous. I love this pattern as it's funky but still simple and not to over the top! I would pair this with some wooden wedges and a crochet bag.

Playsuits are always on my wish list for Summer items, I love this print so much as it gives off a Summer holiday vibe. Palm trees look perfect and inlace on holiday. I would pair this playsuit with some black or gold sandals, a black floppy hat and a black bag!

So that's my three picks from Oh My Love's sale!
I hope you enjoyed todays post and remember to pick what you like to wear not what others tell you to.

Love

My Top 5 High-End Scents

Every girl needs perfume, it's true we all need to smell nice. Fragrance is one of the most bought gifts, I always love when I receive a new scent as a present. Todays post has been written because of the idea coming from Kirsty (Wonder of Freedom). You definitely need to go and check her blog out!
I've always been a lover of fragrances, as my mum owns the best scents, ranging from Coco Chanel to Clinique Happy! I have to admit I own more than 5 fragrances but this selection is my "high-end"
collection. I love each and every one of these!

Where do I start with this fragrance! I love it so much that I used to sneak into my mums room and spritz some on. I always used to get into trouble! So last Christmas I decided in the sales to buy my self it and it was totally worth the money I'd paid for it. I find this perfect for Autumn/Winter as it has a hint of peach, with a dash of sandalwood!

My next fragrance is my most recent purchase to add to my collection. I bought this on the way home from Turkey in Bodrum Airport. Both me and Kirsty rushed off to Victoria's Secret and we found this fragrance and loved it, so we each purchased one! I love this fragrance as it's very mature and I love how sweet it is. I also love how the pump is different to my other bottles.

I was lucky enough to be gifted with this fragrance of my dad as he, well got mixed up and bought the females black diamonds! So I go to keep it, I love this scent as it has the scent of raspberry, rose and vanilla. As a lover of fruity scents this is perfect for anytime of the year!

As I have Black Diamonds, my mum had nearly finished her bottle of the original fragrance of Diamonds, I gave it a go and liked it, with only a few sprays out of it's unfortunately empty (sad times!) but I think I will have this on my future wish list as I do love it!

This fragrance is also one of my recent purchases from my holidays (I may have bought 2 fragrances!). While walking through Duty Free in Glasgow Airport, I decided to look for this fragrance as it's one that I have been wanting for absolutely ages. When you first spray it on, I'm not that keen on it, but when the scent settles it's such a lovely scent! I used this every night on my holidays. I'm also not a keen fan on Rosy fragrances but Chloe has this to a tee with perfection.

So there you go, my top 5 high-end scents!

I hope you have enjoyed reading todays post.

My Top Two Moisturisers!

The change between Summer and Autumn can be harsh on our skin. After the Sun has tanned or burnt our skin, it can be left dry and needs hydration. Then the cold Autumn weather can really get into our skin and damage it! In this post I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite moisturisers and my top tips with them!

You may have seen the above product mentioned in a previous post it's Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. I'd had a free sample of this product and used it on my recent holiday to Turkey, it was just amazing! My skin was dehydrated from the mix of the heat, salt water, chlorine and sweating (we all do on holiday especially when its 48 degrees!). Every morning I would apply a tiny amount as it would spread far and still hydrate my skin so well. This would last me most of the daytime, I would apply Clinique Face Sun Cream to my face when needed. After showering I would apply this again and then my make up would go on top! I would rate this product 5/5, at £34 it is expensive but Estee Lauder (company that own Clinique and many other brands) have outlet stores up and down the UK. In York Designer Outlet, you can purchase it for £25.50 same product, cheaper price!

My second moisturiser is Clinique's Dramatically Different +. I have been using this product for around about 3 years now, as I have sensitive skin every Winter my skin would get used to the moisturiser that I was using. Wether it was Nivea or Simple none of them used to work, apart from when I started to use Dramatically Different. It's part of Clinique's 3 Step: Cleanse, Exfoliate, Moisturise. This product is okay but I do prefer the one above, as this one sometimes makes my skin feel a bit oily. I give this a 4/5! If you wanting a moisturiser but cheaper than the one about this is priced between £17.50 - £30.00 depending on what size that you purchase.

Top Tips!

* You only need a little to moisturise, don't apply to much as it will just lay on your skin.
* Apply it straight after you have showered or washed you face (dry it first!)
* Test the product to see if it works on a small patch of skin first.

Thanks for reading today's post!

September Wishlist

As it's September, I'm going to be sharing with you my wish list for the month, as most of these products are quite expensive I have decided to only pick 4 items for this month. September is a transitional month, in which it's a mix of just coming back of holiday, wanting to show of you tan and   covering up because the weather is changing so that it's colder.

The first item on my wish list is a perfume that is perfect for this season, this perfume has the mix of exotics and woody scents. Under My Spell Noelle is priced at £29.50 and is available from Benefit. The problem is when I went on my holidays I bought two perfumes (oops!)

As you may or may not know Clinique offer a free gift bag when a specific store has bonus time on and to get one you need to buy two Clinique products, as a lover of Clinique I often buy new products  because of having a sample in the free gift bag. During my holidays my skin felt very dry and needed some hydration to give it a boost. After trying Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief I now love it! Available from Clinique at £34.

I love Winter coats and this one from River Island looks like it would keep me warm and cosy! This Waterfall Jacket would look perfect in my A/W wardrobe. At £85 it's quite expensive so I'm on the hunt for a cheaper option, you never know I may even find one in Primark!

The final item on my wish list is some ankle boots as Winter approaches we all need some heels that will not let us down (we won't slip over!). I've found these Black Cross Strap Ankle Boots from New Look priced at £29.99!

Thats all for my wishlist! I hope you liked todays post.
